Honky-Tonkin' Electric Blues

Blues rocker Brad Wilson submitted his self-titled CD-R release, which features thirteen songs with Wilson on guitar and vocals. He's joined by bassist Brian James and drummer JJ Garcia, as well as other musicians including Rick Brannon (guitar), Francesca Capasso (vocals), Bruce Robb (Hammond B3) and Mario Zamora (piano, B3). Lyrically, many of the songs are about Wilson's travels on the road - his tours have taken him throughout the United States many times. This is just plain and simply great blues-rock with Southern-fried elements, the higher tempo tracks offering blazing, energetic leads, and all tracks featuring Wilson's expressive, powerful throat. You'll love the slide work on tracks such as "Rocket" and you'll dig the Allman Brothers' influence on "Got The Feeling". Wilson didn't pack his release with filler - this one will hold your interest from start to finish. Brad Wilson was originally profiled in the October-November, 2004 edition of The Undiscovered.

For the last seven years, Brad has fronted the blues-rock band, Stone. His song "Teaser," was prominently featured in the film and soundtrack for "John Carpenter's Vampires". BMG Records in Europe released "Teaser" as a single. Brad also appears on the soundtrack to John Carpenter's last film, "Ghosts Of Mars". With legendary producer Bruce Robb at the helm, the guitarist's stunning solo guitar work is featured throughout the instrumental track, "Can't Let You Go." The NBC soap opera, Passions, has chosen numerous songs of Brad's for use in episodes airing throughout 2000, 2001, 2002, 2003 and 2004. As session guitarist for record producers, The Robb Brothers at LA's Cherokee Studios, during 2003 he played lead and rhythm guitar on the Vanguard Records CD, "Still Loving You", from Robert Bradley's Black Water Surprise.

Recently, Wilson won "Best Songwriting" at the All Access Music Awards in Los Angeles, a prestigious award, and the first of its kind given by this well-known music publication.
