Electrifying, Emotional Blues-Rock Instrumental Music

Dan Page is the eighteen-year-old Master of the Stratocaster and leader of the blues-rock instrumental trio, the Dan Page Group. Two things stand out immediately about this band. The first is the songwriting and playing ability of guitarist Dan Page, who is currently a senior in high school in Port Orchard, Washington. Dan has written sixteen instrumentals out of the twenty-plus songs in the band's live repertoire, ranging from smoky blues and stepped-up shuffles to straight-ahead rock guitar numbers. The second interesting item is that Dan has taught his father Andy to play bass and his mother Suzi to play the drums, making it a true family trio.

Dan Page began playing guitar at the age of eleven and has taken private lessons from Tim Bertsch (H.D. Fusion, Jaded Mary) and Roger Ferguson (Guitar Player Magazine, National Flatpicking Champion). Dan's instrumental music draws heavily from his influences: Stevie Ray Vaughan, Jimi Hendrix and Joe Satriani. His live show includes dazzling techniques such as playing his worn Stratocaster above his head and behind his back. Dan uses an array of effects to get his sound including wah, chorus, delay and various distortion devices.

Dan Page's plans for the future include continuing live performances, songwriting and attending both Olympic Community College and the University of Washington, ultimately to earn a Bachelors Degree in Music Education.
