George Lynch
The Lost Anthology
The Story
"The Lost Anthology", sometimes referred to as "Lost Lynch", is a guitar-driven showcase of the George Lynch's incredible fretboard wizardry from 1977 to the present. Featuring a collection of never-before-released tracks, rare live items, and some ripping cover tracks ("Paranoid", "Billion Dollar Babies", "He's A Woman, She's A Man", "Round And Round", "S.A.T.O."), the two disc set is an essential purchase for fans of Mr. Scary. In addition to the Xciter, Boyz, Dokken and Lynch Mob tracks, fans of Lynch's instrumentals will be pleased at the inclusion of an instrumental version of Dokken's "Cry Again", and a track done for the Roland Corporation to demonstrate the VG-88 digital guitar processor, entitled "Dust" - a haunting and unusual piece. The liner notes recall an interesting bit of triva. When Lynch met Gene Simmons of KISS, he suggested to George that he change his name to John Lynx if he ever wanted to become successful. Almost 30 years later - what do you say now Gene?
