Guitar Nine's Attic: G9 MXR Pedal X-Squadron

Guitar Nine
General , G9 Attic

squadron | ˈskwädrən | an operational unit in an air force consisting of two or more flights of aircraft.

A look at the Guitar Nine organization's jumble of MXR non-dirt pedals amassed from 1980 through 2025. It's been called the "Divine 9", but that's a somewhat jocular (or fustian) way of saying MXR has been in the audio business since about 1972, started by high school buds Keith Barr and Terry Sherwood in the great state of New York. By the seventies, MXR was a multi-million dollar company with over 250 employees. Why not get your hands on an MXR pedal and play your favorite axe through it? You'll find their pedals are legendary for a reason.
