The Story
"Live In San Francisco" is a double CD set featuring 25 tracks of Satch's material - more than 2 and a half hours of Satriani live! The music on the CD was recorded live at the Fillmore in San Francisco in December of 2000. The live recording gives Satriani the opportunity to stretch and offer tons more 64th and 128th notes than you might expect on a studio release. You'll get material from his most recent studio CD "Engines Of Creation " ("Devil's Slide", "Borg Sex"), all the way down to his 1986 landmark album "Not Of This Earth" ("Rubina"). An encore version of "Surfing With The Alien" clocks in at 9:17, plenty of time to enjoy the myriad improvs that the song format allows for. Satriani delivers passion, excitement and virtuosity in one package - a must have live performance.
