Lara/Reyes
World Jazz
The Story
While maintaining their excellent Latin-jazz patina, the dynamic guitar tandem Lara & Reyes sixth Highter Octave release, "World Jazz", also incorporates instrumentation and music elements from around the globe. The much heralded acoustic guitarists, Joe Reyes and Sergio Lara (who also perform on other instruments), are joined by longtime musical friends and family. Together, they traverse the cosmopolitan clubs of Paris, wing their way to the effervescent Caribbean, step back into the time of the Aztecs, and visit such exotic ports of call as Bombay and Havana. Highlights include "Amor De Lejos", "Leona", and "Los Flamingos".
