The Story
"Lyve From Steel Town" was recorded and filmed on July 15, 1997, at Star Lake Coca-Cola Amphitheatre, Burgettstown, PA, and features original guitarist Gary Rossington faithfully recreating the trademark three guitar sound with two new axemen (one being Blackfoot's Rickey Medlocke and the other the Outlaws' Hughie Thomasson). Johnny Van Zant capably handles the lead vocal duties, but the emphasis is on old Skynyrd with heavy guitars with a surround sound mix - as it should be
