The Story
"The Bits Between The Bits/Sliding Gliding Worlds" features the eclectic UK act's 1989 album, "The Bits Between The Bits" and 1988 album, "Sliding Gliding Worlds" packaged together for one low price. "The Bits Between The Bits" was essentially a compilation of music recorded between 1985 and 1989 and was a fitting epitaph to the pre-album Ozrics. The release was predominanly an atmospheric affair excepting the brainstorming live "Ozrosis", the frantic trance-like "Secret Names" and the similarly manic "Wreltch". "Sliding Gliding Worlds" developed the Ozrics sound even further, with complicated rhythms and atonal compositional experiments. These recordings were certainly the precursors to the sounds that would be found on the tirst three proper Ozric Tentacles albums.
