The Story
"The Best Of Randy Coven" features a total of sixteen bass-driven tracks from Coven's three solo albums, "Funk Me Tender", "Sammy Says Ouch" and "C.P.R.". In addition to Coven's amazing bass work, you get guitar courtesy of Al Pitrelli and Jim Hickey, as well as a host of guests, including Steve Vai, Zakk Wylde, Steve Morse, Blues Saraceno and Vito Bratta. Even electric violinist Mark Wood gets into the act on "Toronto Blues". Since Coven's three solo discs are so hard to find these days, "The Best Of Randy Coven" should suffice as either a great introduction to Coven's work or a retrospective of the bassist's career through the past six years.
