Future plans/projects

To get my label "Black Ink Records" moving out of Denver a little more. Black Ink is interested in taking talented musicians and groups and having them collaborate on various albums. I, personally am doing projects with Denver Area psycadellic rock legend Chris Frazier as well as various jazz-funk collaboration with Colorado musicians.

Guitars

An '86 American Fender Stratocaster, a Gibson ES-175, a Viernes Classical, a Moreno Romanian Classical and an Epiphone Electric Bass

Keyboards

None at studio, but frequent collaborations with a Fender Rhodes Player validate access.

Percussion

A King 5-piece Kit. A set of off-brand Congas and Bongos. Various handheld.

Effects

Occasional use of a Digitech RP-6 and v3 vocal processor.

Microphones

Shure's all the way. Although we are working toward a Neuman Condensor as soon as possible.

Mixing

A little something my friend 'Fat Willie' made.

Tape decks

Fostex variable speed 4-track. VHS Hi-Fi VCR. Marantz componant deck.

Monitoring

We bought our monitors from some guy out of the back of his van. We use a Phase Linear 479 power amp we bought from my dad. The headphones are an off-brand pawn shop special.

Computer

None.

Music software

None.

Additional equipment

Use of a friends Burner and press.

Additional notes

For using a simple and cheap setup, Black Ink produces consistantly good recordings. It helps to have the finest musicians in Colorado around to give us pointers on recording over the years as well as a couple of engineering classes at University of Colorado at Denver.
