Unusual Acoustic/Electric Guitar Duo

The Italian guitar duo of Nicola Buffa (electric) and Paolo Travagnin (classical acoustic) have been circulating an eleven song CD-R of instrumentals featuring the musical synthesis of classic and modern sounds, the goal of which is to create an "atmosphere" full of emotional content through sounds and interplay. Both guitarists are professional musicians -- highly skilled and passionate about their instruments -- and the compositions are at once beautiful, rich, achingly melodic and romantic. Songs such as "Quasi Blues", "Vale Valzer" and "Ste" are standout examples of the originality and creativity the pair bring to the recording studio. Clearly, the blend of consummate talents and their common interest in exploring sound will earn the duo a devout following in Italy, Europe and beyond. Buffa/Travagnin was originally profiled in the February-March, 2000 edition of The Undiscovered.
