Strunz/Farah
Zona Torrida
The Story
"Zona Torrida", the 2004 release from acoustic guitar masters Strunz & Farah, feature nine strikingly broad ranging compositions showcasing the expressive guitar artistry that Jorge Strunz and Ardeshir Farah have shared with international audiences. "De Luna" starts off the CD on a Spanish note, the dual-guitar interplay being as strong as ever. "Raiz Y Flor" sports the addtion of Carlitos Del Puerto on upright bass, as more Latin percussion bolsters the furiously played guitar solos. "Kereshmeh", on the other hand, introduces Middle Eastern percussion and tonalities to the world party that Strunz and Farah have thrown for the listener on "Zona Torrida" - yet another standout disc.
