Steve Vai
The Elusive Light And Sound, Vol. 1
The Story
Steve Vai's new CD, "The Elusive Light And Sound, Vol. 1" is Vai's first release on his own Favored Nations label. It's a collection of 40 tracks, recorded by Vai for various films and soundtracks throughout the years, plus new and unreleased music. The package includes extensive liner notes by Vai. A dense and satisfying collection of Vai's recorded contributions to film ("Dudes", "Bill & Ted's Bogus Journey", the score to "PCU", and more), the collection also includes the infamous guitar duel scenes from "Crossroads", with additional music deleted from the film! The CD also features tracks like the previously unreleased "Love Blood," originally composed for "Interview With A Vampire", and Vai's retake of the Kinks classic "Celluloid Heroes."
